 Located just ten minutes from Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, this 4 star, smoke-free guest house has an extensive breakfast menu from fresh local produce, plus home made biscuits in the bedrooms. This traditionally built Lakeland-stone house sits in its own gardens; the atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil. Upon entry guests will be immediately aware that Glenville still holds a lot of its original character. All 6 bedrooms are of a comfortable size. Consisting of 4 Classic Doubles and 2 Superior Double rooms, which have been refurbished in early 2007. Classic rooms have King sized beds. Superior rooms are even larger and have a bath and shower in the en-suite, one of these rooms is located on the ground floor overlooking the front garden and the other has a Super King sized bed. All rooms have en-suite facilities with luxury toiletries and bathrobes provided. Widescreen flat TV with Freeview, CD clock/radio and an enhanced welcome tray, which is replenished daily. At the Glenville staff believe it is important to start the day right, and the delicious freshly cooked Traditional Cumbrian Breakfast, with many locally produced ingredients takes some beating, vegetarians and special diets are catered for if guests inform the hotel of their requirements upon making their booking.
