A small friendly informal non smoking B&B in a quiet street very close to Bowness's shops and Restaurants. A short walk to the Lake or to Biskey Howe viewpoint, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. Great cooked breakfasts using award winning local ingredients and Fairtrade Tea and Coffee. Families and small groups welcome, gay friendly, pets welcome with PRIOR approval at charge of £5 per dog per stay, free membership of local Leisure Club. Limited parking. Check in after 21.00 strictly by prior arrangement. If guests smoke in the rooms, a charge of one additional night's stay will be made.
Traditional Lakeland Guest House only a few minutes walk from Windermere village and railway station. ALL ROOMS NON-SMOKING. Ten minutes walk to Lake Windermere through pretty, county lane. Pleasant, twenty minute walk to viewpoint looking over the lake and mountains. Serving typical English breakfast plus cereals, fruit, yoghurt and vegetarian sausage. Various restaurants and shops close by. Ample private parking. Check out is 10.30am. No arrivals after 10pm unless by special arrangement. Sorry, only children over 10 years old accepted and the full adult rate will be charged. Please note that there are two small dogs on the premises.
A handsome Edwardian villa located on the peaceful side of the village. The 15 newly refurbished guest rooms with brand new en-suite shower rooms and White Company toiletries, include a choice of doubles and twin rooms, with two of them located on the ground floor. All rooms are well equipped with 19" flat screen Toshiba televisions, radio alarm clocks, hairdryer and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. Three of the rooms have King Size 4-poster beds and three of the rooms have super king size beds, if you really want to impress, flowers and/or champagne can be waiting for you in the room. There's a bar and residents lounge where you can relax with a drink, and breakfast is served in the light and airy dining room with its large windows overlooking the garden. Woodlands is open all year round and special midweek breaks are available. There's ample off road parking and credit cards are accepted.

We offer you a warm welcome to our Victorian home. Our rooms are clean and comfortable, decorated to the highest standards. Free use of local hotel pool/spa/gym. TV/DVD player in all rooms. Free use of internet available in guest lounge. Parking is available directly in front of the property. Full English or vegetarian breakfast is included in the price of stay. Over 400 years old Rose Cottage retains many of the original features. Located in the heart of Bowness & just a minutes walk from Lake Windermere Rose Cottage offers the convenience of having Bowness' many attractions, bars & restaraunts on it's doorstep whilst the beautiful Lake District scenery is within easy walking distance. Our guesthouse has 5 rooms, all en-suite with a walk in shower. We have 3 double rooms & 2 family rooms which sleep 3 people although we do have a z-bed & a travel cot (for a small fee) if required. All rooms offer complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities, a trouser press & LCD satelite tv. We offer a good hearty breakfast which is served in our beautiful dining room at the convenient time of 8.30am - 9.30 am. Please note that although we strive to make your visit as relaxed as possible Bowness can be very lively especially at weekends.
